just want to thank a guy called Travis who came to our assistance after we broke down outside Waves Restaurant… the owner of the restaurant was rude and didn’t want to help.

Travis who was next door to the restaurant at the diving shop came to help in the freezing cold weather and tried everything thing he could to get my car started. it takes nothing to be kind we need more people like you.thank you so much.

What a stunning last minute experience! My fiancé and I decided to take the plunge and do a shark cage dive, something we’ve wanted to do for ages. We weren’t expecting to be taken care of such incredible people! Sherrie made sure that we got the best skipper (Andre) who gave us the most thrilling and professional boat ride out to sea. There was not one moment where we didn’t feel safe. Werner took amazing action shots and videos so we will forever look upon our experience with fondness. These guys know exactly what they’re doing! Professional and exceptional service from beginning to end- thank you for making our memory one that we will come back for, time and again! The lodge is beautifully clean, inviting and the view from our sea view window equally magical! Miss you guys already!!

Thanks to the whole team for awesome 3 nights at Aliwal Shoal Scuba. Great dives guided by very professional divemasters – which are experts for Braai as well � We will definitely come again, the vibe at the only beachfront Divecenter in Umkomaas is exactly what we are searching for.

My wife Andrea and I came here for our first year anniversary and it was amazing. The hospitality of the staff was great, they are all very friendly and very helpfull.
We have heard from numerous people all over Sout Africa that we have chosen the best place.
We have booked accommodation with them as well and the rooms are nice and big and the rooms are very clean.

Myself & my husband spent 4 nights in Umkomaas Lodge and did 7 dives with Aliwal Shoal Scuba team. We had an absolute ball! Everyone made sure we got to see as much as we could. We will never forget seeing the Cathedral full of ragged tooth sharks and then our baited shark dive with countless oceanic black tip sharks. Huge thanks to our superb divemasters Coby, Donovan & Damian as well as brilliant skipper Andrew who got us safe everywhere despite the toughest sea conditions we’ve ever experienced!Lelanie was amazing as well looking after all our needs. Thanks as well to Cobi & Donovan for a braai on our last night! X

Love this place to bits! The staff are super friendly, the accommodation fantastic and the dives were outstanding! Did the shark dive yesterday and it was one of the most unbelievable experiences of my life! There are whales in the area at the moment and we could here them singing the whole time during the 2 reef dives we did today. Beautiful experience! Saw a raggie, black tipped reef shark, octopus, a honeycomb eel and a turtle this morning. Very happy with my dives! Will definitely be staying with and diving with you guys again!

Friendly people, great accomodation and superb diving

I was in Umkomaas for the first time with my partner and our two years old daughter. We had a super great time there!!!! � the team is very friendly, professional and helpful. I did three OWD dives and my partner did the cage shark dive. It is definitely a MUST DO experience in Umkomaas even for beginners or those who are a bit frightened of sharks. And would definitely do it again with Aliwal Shoal Scuba!! The first dive we saw a shark, the second dive we saw a manta and the third dive we saw a tiger shark, several dolphins and about ten black tip oceanic sharks all around me! The creaziest diving experience ever!

I really enjoyed it with you guys! Thanks for the possibility to dive in the tank first to check my ear. Really big thank you to Tristan for his help, empathy and courtesy! And for feeding the sharks in front of me so I can made fantastic pictures. It was awesome!

Had an awesome weekend this past weekend 7/8 – 10/8/15.
I’m a snob diver! Only dive when dive conditions is the best. Lelanie & team knows me to well. Will let me know what conditions is like day before. My dive conditions was awesome had 4 dr’s from Belgium also on the boat as snorkels. They where so afraid it was awesome to share my love for sharks as they were very scared.
Forget your weight belt no worries. Lelanie & team makes sure there is always spare on the boat.
Stay behind not doing a 2nd dive top man company is also great.
To everyone from the minor employee to the CEO of Aliwal Shoal Scuba thank u. U guys rock!!
